PAOK and Panathinaikos Score Leading Edge Over AEK and Panionios Ahead of Play-offs

On Sunday the regular season of Super League ended with Olympiakos the crowned champions.
Over the weekend, the remaining teams competed to see how many points with which they would enter the Champions League qualification play-offs. PAOK and Panathinaikos scored victories in their Sunday matches, giving them the leading edge over AEK and Panionios.
Both AEK and Panionios will begin the play-offs pointless after failing to win on Sunday with AEK drawing 1-1 at PAS Giannina and Panionios losing 3-1 at a home match against Levadiakos.
The Reds found themselves in the lead after completing the season with a 2-0 win at Panaitolikos. PAOK will enter the play-offs with two points after a 5-1 victory home match against Kerkyra, while Panathinaikos will have one point after a 2-0 win over Larissa at home.
The season’s final standings place Olympiakos as the crowned champion with 67 points, followed by PAOK at 61 points and Panathinaikos at 57 points. Other teams final standings are AEK 53, Panionios 52, Xanthi 48, Platanias 42, Atromitos 39, PAS Giannina 36, Kerkyra 32, Panetolikos 31, Iraklis 29, Asteras Tripolis 28, Larissa 28, Levadiakos 26 and Veria 22.
The play-offs will start on May 10.
