Greek Coast Guard Rescues About 85 Migrants Off Kalamata's Coast

The latest arrivals of migrants in Greece were found near the mainland of the country’s southern coast near Kalamata, theglobeandmail.com has reported.
Authorities have reported that on Thursday morning, the distressed boat was found drifting some 40 nautical miles southwest of Kalamata, carrying about 85 migrants.
The coast guards were alerted by a nearby cargo ship which located the distressed vessel. The Greek Coast Guard has reported that the migrants have been transferred to cargo ships in the proximity in the early hours of Thursday morning. The cargo ship will transport them to Kalamata on the mainland where they will then be processed.
At this time there was no information provided as to the nationality or final destination of the migrants.
