If you didn’t get enough of Jason Mantzoukas‘ comic antics on “The League” or on the last season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, no worries – he is about to hit the big screen in “The House” with Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell.
The first official trailer for the comedy is out, and the premise is pretty hilarious and original.
The story focuses on a married couple (Poehler and Ferrell) who can’t afford to pay for their daughter’s college, so they open an illegal casino in their house to raise money for her education.
Mantzoukas’ character is the man who pitches the casino idea to the couple in the first place, and helps make the crazy idea a reality by making the home as “Vegas-like” as possible.
“The House” was written by “Neighbors” writers Brendan O’Brien and Andrew J. Cohen. Mantzoukas’ friend and costar on “The League”, Nick Kroll, will also be in the film, as well as Rory Scovel and Lennon Parham.
The movie will be released in theaters on Friday, June 30th. In the meantime, watch the full trailer above, and catch Mantzoukas on the podcast “How Did This Get Made?”
