Anna Korakaki Shares Win of the 2016 ISSF Shooter of the Year Award With Italy's Niccolò Campriani

Greek olympian Anna Korakaki is the proud winner of the 2016 ISSF Shooter of the Year award which she shares with the Italian shooter, Niccolò Campriani.
They are the female and male winners and both athletes proved their worth at the 2016 Rio Olympics as they won a total of 4 Olympic medals at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games including three Golds and one Bronze.
Twenty-year-old Greek shooter Anna Korakaki wowed crowds and made Greeks proud. She won the first ever Bronze medal in women’s 10m Air Pistol event and championed to become the winner of the 25m Pistol women’s event, making her the first Greek athlete to win an Olympic medal in shooting in 120 years!
“I’m very happy about this award,” Korakaki said according to issf-sports.org. “It’s an honor to be given such a title by the coaches, the athletes and the members of the media. I wanna thank them all.” Then she added, “Winning is more than just medals to me, I overcame many challenges and many difficulties in the past years, like many athletes in the world. So above all, this is a recognition to all the efforts I made.”
