ELSTAT: Number of Registered Doctors in Greece Declining Steadily

There are fewer and fewer doctors staying in Greece to practice medicine, according to the latest findings of the country’s statistical agency, ELSTAT.
ELSTAT recently published a report showing that the number of registered doctors in Greece is steadily declining, having shown 68,410 registered doctors in 2015 compared to 68,807 the previous year in 2014.
The statistics breakdown shows that the biggest decrease of registered doctors in the country is in the northern Aegean where numbers have plummeted down 6.4 percent to only 735 doctors.
