parliamentThe government has requested a roll call vote in parliament for the two relief measures announced by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras last Thursday, which will be added in two separate draft bills.
The measures concern a one-off benefit for low-income pensioners and the suspension of a VAT rise on some islands, which will be added to a labor ministry bill which will be voted on Thursday and a finance ministry bill which will be approved on Monday.
Earlier, the secretary and the director of SYRIZA’s parliament group, Afroditi Theopeftatou and Kostas Zahariadis, said the roll call was requested to record the broad parliamentary majority and the individual vote of all MPs.
