Fraport Aims for Increased Passenger Traffic in 2017 at 139th IATA Slot Conference

thessaloniki airportAccording to sources in the international transport industry, Fraport Greece attracted a high level of attention at the 139th IATA Slot Conference, held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
This conference allows representatives of airports, airlines and national air-traffic agencies to meet and negotiate which and how many slots airlines will get at each specific airport to operate their services.
The news is very welcome as the local subsidiary of the German transport firm is set to take over the management of 14 regional airports in Greece in 2017.
The firm is said to be in advanced talks with foreign airline companies as well as tour operators in a proactive move to ensure a healthy increase in passenger traffic next year.
Sources say that the results of the negotiations at the conference in Atlanta will be visible in the near future.
