As rumors soar that U.S. President Barak Obama is planning to make a “legacy speech” on his visit here in Greece in November 14-15, the KKE-affiliated PAME trade union is also planning to make a statement of their own via a protest of the U.S. leader’s visit.
PAME released a statement saying that on November 15 in Athens’ Omonia Square they will hold a rally in protest to President Obama’s visit and urged workers to join them in solidarity.
“The government’s support of imperialistic interventions, its willingness to create a new NATO base on Karpathos, the deepening of relations with the murderous state of Israel, do not lead to ‘stability’ and ‘security,’” PAME said in their statement explaining why they are protesting the U.S. President’s visit.
