Fan favorite and professional dancer Mark Ballas returned to “Dancing With the Stars” this week after he announced he wouldn’t be a regular cast member on the show this season.
The dancer originally left the show in order to perform as Frankie Valli in Broadway’s “Jersey Boys”, so its fitting that he should return during Broadway Week. Ballas rejoined the DWtS cast and contestants with a performance of one of the songs from the “Jersey Boys” musical, “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night),” during the reality show.
Ballas has still not made it clear if he plans to return permanently to “Dancing With the Stars” in the future, and the fact that his singing career is taking off may keep him away from the reality show for a long time, or even forever.
Besides his Broadway show debut, Ballas has been working on a lot of music with his fiancee BC Jean, so it seems that these days, more of his energy is focused on singing rather than dancing.
