Firefighters are trying to contain a brush fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon on the Greek island of Syros, authorities have reported.
According to the latest accounts, authorities say that the fire has been partially contained and has not spread to residential areas.
Fighterfighters armed with two fire engines and two water tank trucks are still battling the fire on the south side of the island near Agia Marina. There is no further information as to how the fire started or damages at this time.
