6th Greek Student Film Festival Hits the Big Screen With Great Success!

gffs16-3On Sunday October 23, the 6th Greek Student Film Festival was hosted at Palace Cinemas Norton St, Leichhardt as part of the Delphi Bank 23rd Greek Film Festival.

What is the 6th Greek Student Film Festival?

The screening presented a selection of imaginative films from Greek Students from local primary and secondary with a cinema full of participants and their families eager to see their work on the big screen.greek film festThe Greek Student Film Festival gives students the opportunity to engage with the art of filmmaking and to use the Greek language in creative and innovative ways, whilst simultaneously encouraging the preservation of Greek culture.

The topic for this year’s competition was “From Morning to Night” and students showed great skill in interpreting it in unique ways.

greek film festThe project that took place in New South Wales (NSW) is presented by the following organizations: Greek Film Festival, Greek Orthodox Community of NSW and the Education Office of the Greek Consulate General. This initiative also has the support of the NSW Department of Education.

Prizes were awarded to the winning schools and certificates were presented to all participating schools.
