Voluntary Declaration of Hidden Income to Face Heavy Tax Over 50%

hidden eurosThe Greek Parliament is aiming to table two bills in October regarding taxpayers who reveal hidden income, Kathimerini has reported.
According to the Greek newspaper, an unnamed top Greek official has revealed that the government is detailing the framework for a bill regarding the voluntary declaration of incomes deposited in banks abroad and in Greece.
Also, the second bill is in regards to protecting voluntary income declaration as well as protecting both private and business bank accounts against confiscation.
The paper also reports that “the bill on voluntary declarations will provide for the tax on those taxpayers to range between 50 and 60 percent, depending on the stage of the investigation into their assets at which they decide to make the declaration.”
