Panagiotis fought for gold, in the end losing to Ukraine’s Anton Datsko with a final score of 15-7.
Vasileios Ntounis also gave a fierce show, fighting for bronze in the event of Wheelchair Fencing Men’s Individual Sabre – Category A. However, in the end it was Jianquan Tian who won bronze with a score of 15-5.
Greece’s current breakdown of its medal count is 8 medals resulting from 2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze victories.
