John Stamos Will Produce Lou Pearlman Biopic

John Stamos has acquired the rights to produce a biopic of music mogul Lou Pearlman, based on the book “The Hit Charade: Lou Pearlman, Boy Bands, and the Biggest Ponzi Scheme in U.S. History”, by Tyler Gray.

Though currently starring on “Scream Queens”, it seems Stamos seems happy to spread out into production along with Desmond Child and Andreas Carlsson, who also own the rights to Pearlman’s biopic.

The story is bound to be an intriguing one, as Pearlman lived some of the biggest highs and lowest lows in the entertainment business.

Pearlman started out in life as a blimp business owner, and then followed a surprising path towards helping developing the careers of 90s chart-topping boy bands Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC, in addition to other music groups.

Eventually, he was sued by all his former clients and fled in disgrace all around the globe until authorities caught up with him.

In 2008, the former music giant was given a 25 year prison sentence over charges of money laundering and conspiracy. Last month, he died in prison from a heart infection at age 62.

So far, though it is clear Stamos will be on board as an executive producer, not much else is known about the film yet. We can’t wait to see what develops!
