The 2nd Mysticon festival in Thessaloniki from September 13 to September 18 brings fun, excitement and mystery to the northern Greek city. The event, held in the framework of the Thessaloniki International Trade Festival (TIF) – HELEXPO and Thessaloniki Film Festival is being held at TIF venues, at the Olympion Cinema and other areas around the city.
This year’s festival brings eleven troupes from around Thessaloniki to host interactive, educational and role-playing/mystery games. Participants will be able to enjoy alternative guided tours and mystery games at specially created venues and different events at escape rooms. Special treasure hunts and midnight screenings will also be offered.
Tourism/International Relations Vice Mayor Spyros Pegas said that the festival is a platform for alternative tourism as it reveals another side to the city that is linked to legends, eye-witness accounts, historical facts and other details from the city that visitors can discover in a more vivid and exciting way through mystery tours, games and escape rooms.
