Eleni Manthou: Meet the Thessaloniki Candidate Who Got the Highest Grades for Medical School

MANTHOU
Eleni Manthou, a Thessaloniki senior high school graduate, from Anatolia College came top of her class to enter Thessaloniki’s Medical School gathering a score of 19.714 in the nerve-wracking Greek Panhellenic Exams for university entry.
“I wanted to study medicine from a young age, perhaps because my mother is a doctor,” says the successful student who graduated at one of the top private schools of Greece.

The young girl, aged 18, says that she made no particular sacrifices in order to get such a high grade. She claims to not have studied for more than three hours per day and would relax with her friends on weekends.
She views her achievement as an impetus to urge her on in her studies, but says that she did not expect to do so well mainly due to her own insecurities.
