When Nathaly Eiche, a young Esthonian model boarded an Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna to Athens she had no idea about the surprise that was waiting for her. Her boyfriend, Jurgen Bogner had booked a summer vacation in Greece for the couple and had come in contact with the airline to prepare a special surprise for his loved one.
Upon entering the aircraft the couple was seated and suddenly a choir started singing “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. Bogner knelt before his girlfriend and proposed to her. She instantly said “yes” however, little did she know what was to come.
Nathaly Eiche was presented with a beautiful white wedding gown, their wedding rings, witnesses and a person who had been ordained to marry them. The young woman immediately wore the wedding dress, fixed her hair into an elegant bun and married her boyfriend 35,000 feet above ground.
However, the surprise was not over yet. The airline had prepared a wedding cake for the newlywed couple.
The news of the unusual wedding spread quickly thanks to a famous blogger that was onboard the plane, who posted a video of the couple on Instagram with the caption “YES!! THIS just happened on my flight from Vienna to Athens – I witnessed a surprise proposal AND wedding on board (I’m so excited, I was sitting right next to the bride and got so emotional when her boyfriend surprised her) PS: Congrats to the charming couple!!”
Shortly after the flight, the bride informed her friends and family that she left Vienna as a “girlfriend” and arrived in Athens as a “wife” while she also posted a picture of Instagram showing the couple carrying a suitcase with “Just Married” written on it.
