Business Insider Encourages Tourists to Visit Greek Islands

greek-island-vacationThe Business Insider is urging tourists to visit the Greek islands. “With some 6,000 islands within its borders, Greece has a lot to offer travelers of all stripes. Whether you’re in search of wild parties, family-friendly activities, or just a place where you can relax and unwind, you’re sure to be able to find it on one of Greece’s stunning islands,” noted the magazine.
The article pays tribute to several islands in the country, highlighting their beauty and charm. Furthermore, the magazine categorized the islands, depending on what tourists seek to do on their vacation. There are enough choices for everyone, whether they prefer a family holiday, wild nature, art galleries or shopping.
According to the list, Hydra is the place for art lovers. In June 2009, art collector Dakis Joannou opened a branch of a private art museum, the Deste Foundation, on the island to show the work of established young artists. Meanwhile, Ios is described as the party island where young and old meet to have a good time and party until the small hours.
Paros is the perfect place for windsurf lovers, while Santorini is the island of couples seeking a romantic getaway. Crete will offer the best vacation experience to food lovers. “The island, which is famous for its olive oil, is home to rustic eateries that serve incredibly fresh meat, cheeses, olive oil, and wines that are often produced in-house,” noted the magazine.
The Greek island of Ikaria will appease any tourists looking to explore its nature, and Tilos will offer a unique holiday to anyone who loves wildlife. At the same time, the beautiful island of
Astypalaia, which has not yet been reached by the huge wave of tourists, will allow travelers to enjoy their vacation while also avoiding large crowds.
Business Insider finally adds that Naxos is a particularly family-friendly island, while Rhodes will impress every history buff with its medieval buildings, bastions, walls, and the palace in the Old Town.
