70 More Refugees and Migrants on Greek Islands in the Last 24 Hours

Refugees arrive on the shores of the island of Lesbos after crossing the Aegean sea from Turkey
The numbers of refugees are growing with 56,853 migrants identified on Greek territory on Monday, while 70 new arrivals were reported in the last 24 hours. According to the Refugee Crisis Management Coordination Body’s figures, 23,530 of the refugees are in northern Greece, 10,252 are hosted in the region of Attica, 8,520 on the Greek islands and 1,917 are hosted in different areas in central and southern Greece. The number of refugees and migrants hosted in several facilities rented by the UNHCR reach 6494 — 4,600 are staying in non-organized facilities while approximately 1,500 persons are living outside organized facilities.
