Two Syrian nationals have been arrested on Wednesday on the Greek island of Crete, authorities Cretan airport of Irakleio say.
The two individuals were attempting to board flights to Italy and Switzerland with forged documents.
The man, a 24-year-old was trying to board a flight to Italy, while a 44-year-old woman was trying to board one to Switzerland.
Officers have detained the two Syrian nationals and they are expected to face a prosecutor in Irakleio later on Wednesday.
