A funeral home in Nafplio, in Peloponnese, has built a special order coffin in the shape of the Parthenon and its form has become all the rage in the area.
The particular coffin is made of marble and wood, using special techniques and a lot of meticulous work. The funeral parlor owner said it took one and a half months to build the coffin to a customer’s specification. The man who gave the macabre order is alive and wants it for future use.
The cost of the Parthenon coffin is 4,000 euros and once put on display, several customers rushed to place orders for the same, according to the funeral home owner.
