Greece Is Protected from Brexit Repercussions, Euro Zone Chief says

DijsselbloemGreece is the most protected European country from possible Brexit repercussions because it is covered by European money and a European program, said Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem.
The Dutch finance minister spoke to Greek journalists in Hague.
“What is necessary is policy and financial stability. Moreover, the Greek government must implement the agreed program to the last detail and if it follows the program through the end of 2018 we can recommence the discussion on the Greek debt and primary surpluses. If the program is not followed, the Greek economy will suffer new damages,” he stated.
Dijsselbloem also said that he has very constructive discussions with Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and with the Greek authorities in general.
Greece’s bailout program is for the most part funded by the European Stability Mechanism, euro zone’s rescue fund.
