Village Evacuated as Firefighters Battle Wild Fire on Rhodes (video)

On Saturday a large wild-fire ignited on the Greek island of Rhodes near to the village of Apolakkia during the morning hours.
The village has since been evacuated as firefighters battle to tame the blaze.
A total of 10 fire engines and 25 firefighters are currently active trying to put the fire out on the ground while four water-dropping planes and two helicopters are providing aid by air.
The strong winds and scorching heat wave that has hit Greece this weekend is hampering their efforts considerably.
As of mid-afternoon there were no reported injuries.
