1st Plane Pull in Greece With the Support of 'The Smile of the Child' [video]

ΑΕΡΟΔΡΟΜΙΟ ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΟΣ ΒΕΝΙΖΕΛΟΣ PLANE PULL

The first Plane Pull took place in Greece, on Friday May 27, from 11am until 5pm, in the facilities of Athens International Airport. The event was for a good cause, as the activities were supported by the organization “The smile of the child” (Hamogelo tou paidiou), for the aid of children who face health problems.
The event was open to the public, with all the necessary supportive staff. In addition, 16 teams of 25 people from businesses and institutions of the Αviation Community and other sectors took place in the event, aiding the cause. Each team had to pull for ten minutes an ΑΙRBUS 330, weighting 100 tons.
The participants were given awards — nine in total — depending on the categories, including “fastest team,” “slowest team” and “most enthusiastic team.”

What is Plane Pull?
The initiative begun in the U.S. and nowadays it takes place in different parts of the world, with the aim to assist a non-profit organization. Countries that carry out “Plane Pull” include Canada, the UK, Ireland, Malta, Australia and others.
