The Party of European Socialists has postponed its leaders meeting in Rome for Friday on account of the EgyptAir MS804 plane crash. Greek Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was to attend the meeting that would have included left-wing leaders of Europe, including French President Francois Hollande.
The postponement was a joint decision taken by all participants as a result of the tragic consequences of the EgyptAir flight en route from Paris to Cairo. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the refugee crisis as well as the consequences of a Brexit following the UK referendum on EU membership.
