Turkish Jet Fighters Violate Greek Airspace 42 Times

turkish-air-forceFour Turkish F-16 jet fighters, three naval aircraft and six helicopters on Monday entered the Athens FIR without submitting flight plans.
There were 18 violations of traffic rules in the Athens FIR that evolved in 42 violations of national airspace at different points of the Aegean Sea. None of the Turkish aircraft were armed.
In all cases, the Turkish aircraft and helicopters were recognized and intercepted by Greek fighter planes.
The Turkish flight activity is part of the military exercise Beyaz Firtina conducted in international waters throughout the Aegean.
