Visitors to Greek museums in January 2016 posted a 12.4 percent increase, however, revenues from entrance tickets fell 1.1 pct compared to the same month in 2015, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said.
The number of free admission visitors in January increased by 33.7 pct. In regards to archaeological sites, in January 2016, an increase of 6.7 pct was recorded in the number of visitors and a 48.6 pct increase in the number of free admission visitors. A decrease of 10.6 pct was observed in their receipts, in comparison with the corresponding month of 2015.
