Alex Dimitriades, who plays the lead role in the SBS’s drama “The Principal” won a Logie award for the category of “Most Outstanding Actor.”

“The Principal” tells the story of a former history teacher and deputy principal who is appointed the principal of a notoriously tough and violent boys high school. In the SBS series, written by Kristen Dunphy and Alice Addison, Dimitriades plays the part of protagonist Matt Bashir, who is promoted to Principal of Boxdale Boys High. The 2015 four-part crime drama was screened in Australia in October.
