Turkish violations in the Aegean continued on Good Friday when a Turkish military aircraft flew over Inousses and Panagia.
The Turkish military aircraft violated the Athens FIR when it flew over the island of Inousses at a low altitude at 10:53, 10:56 and 11:00. Four minutes later, it flew over the islet of Panagia, east of Inousses. The Turkish aircraft was recognized and intercepted by Greek military aircraft.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Turkish military aircraft carried out 29 violations of Greece air space in the Aegean. These included a flight over the islands Anthropofagi and Makronisi in the Fourni island complex by four Turkish F-16s at 29,000 feet.
Greece has complained that Turkish violations have increased in frequency since both countries started participating in NATO patrols in the Aegean, aimed at tackling smugglers.
