At least 20 vacation packages from Russia toward Greece for the Easter Holidays have been canceled in the past few days, due to delays for visa issuance, Russian media report.
Since the consulate is not staffed with additional people to respond to the high volume of work, large lines of Russian tourists at the Greek visa center are formed, waiting for hours to submit the necessary papers for visa issuance.
For the time being, there are approximately 20 canceled vacation packages, but there is a risk of further cancelations. It is also noted that the validation from the General Consulate is being executed without a system, as passports are being validated for tourists flying in several days and not to those flying in several hours.
