Greek-Chinese George Young Comes to US Screens

Greek-Chinese actor George Young may be getting his big break in Hollywood with an upcoming role in the TV series “Containment”, which airs in May on the CW.

We had previously interviewed George Young about his roots, including his Greek-Cypriot mother and his upbringing in London. Young made the courageous decision to leave a possible career in law to take acting classes, and it seems like his decision has definitely paid off.

He has been working non-stop in Asia for the past few years, as he was based out of Singapore, with roles in Bollywood films as well as Chinese movies and TV series.

In 2014, he started auditioning for productions in Los Angeles, and now he is all set to star in this new US premiere as Dr. Victor Cannerts, a medical researcher who makes the difficult decision to quarantine a huge section of Atlanta after the outbreak of a mysterious and fatal virus among the population.

During the ensuing chaos and panic caused by the epidemic, Dr. Cannerts has to race to find a cure for the virus.

Tune in to the CW on May 3rd for the premiere of “Containment”, and check out George Young’s first big Hollywood role!
