Railway in Idomeni Reopened

idomeni
The railway in Idomeni has been reopened, after the refugees and migrants in the camp have removed their tents. In addition, the police have started handing out flyers by the Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reform, so that the refugees are informed about the borders, the accommodation centers and asylum and relocation process.
More specifically, the flyers highlight that the borders are and will continue to be closed, and that the refugee camp in Idomeni does not cover the basic needs of the refugees and migrants and it will end its operation.
In addition, it is being highlighted that the refugees and migrants are called to move towards the temporary accommodation spaces in a quick and coordinated way, under the responsibility of the Greek authorities. It is also being clarified that after their transfer to the accommodation spaces, refugees and migrants will be informed regarding the asylum granting process in Greece, as well as the relocation program and on how can they be reunited with their families and close friends who are already in a state-member in the European Union.
On Holy Monday, two buses departed from Idomeni for the accommodation space in Lagadikia. As far as Piraeus Port is concerned, there are 2,680 refugees and migrants.
