6,000 Refugees and Migrants to Depart from North Aegean Islands

According to police authorities, about 6000 identified refugees and migrants are in total on the islands of the North Aegean, whereas the refugee and migrant flows have decreased due to the strong southern winds that blow in the area.
More specifically, according to ANA MPA, the number of refugees and migrants that have been identified but still remain on Lesbos island is at 4,000 people. After the departure of 496 people last night by ship, 3297 identified refugees remain and await to depart from Mytilene. In this total, 600 more people will be added, who await to be identified today.
In Chios island, 882 refugees and migrants were identified this morning, whereas 1281 people who are staying in the hotspot of BIAL and Souda, are ready to depart.
In Samos, 71 newly arrived refugees and migrants were identified in the past 24 hours, whereas 658 people are ready to depart.
