Greek Budget Shows 1.189 bln Euro Primary Surplus in Jan.

Greek BudgetThe Greek state budget recorded a surplus of 1.073 billion euros in January, the Finance ministry said. In a report, the ministry said that the primary surplus was 1.189 billion euros.
Based on an amended cash basis, the state budget recorded a surplus of 1.073 billion euros in the first month of 2016, from a surplus of 367 million euros in the same month last year, surpassing a budget target for a surplus of 197 million.
The primary result showed a surplus of 1.189 billion euros, from a surplus of 443 million in 2015 and a budget target for a surplus of 307 million euros.
Net revenue was 4.214 billion euros, up 10.3 pct from budget targets. Regular budget net revenue amounted to 3.649 billion euros, down 0.4 pct from targets.
State budget spending totaled 3.141 billion euros in January, down 483 million from targets. Regular budget spending amounted to 3.006 billion euros, down 469 million from targets and down 167 million euros compared with January 2015.
