New Charges Against TAIPED for Εmbezzlement

TAIPED
The former administrative members of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) are being prosecuted with charges for embezzlement from the Public Sector, regarding interest that was never paid back to the Sector after selling OPAP and Emma Delta.
According to the data from the preliminary examination, about half a million euros in interest has been embezzled by TAIPED, an amount which should have been paid back to the Public Sector.
In response, TAIPED claims that the charges are unsustainable, by saying that the Fund renders the sum from the exploitation of every source within ten days. In the meantime, the amount is kept in a bank account belonging to TAIPED.
