Members of the Greek Police Force Show Their Anger Outside Maximos Mansion

Greek Police Force ShowNine members of the Greek police revealed signs against the government’s pension reform plan outside the prime minister’s mansion today, surprising both their own colleagues and the PM’s security guard.
The signs read “Alexis, why are you killing your own people?” and “My father is a farmer.”
The angry policemen stood outside the Maximos mansion for about 20 minutes until they were escorted away by the PM’s security men.
Speaking on Greece’s Mega TV Channel, a police spokesman sought to downplay the episode by saying that the men demonstrated in a peaceful manner and that it was their way of displaying solidarity with Greek people’s struggle against the proposed reform plans.
“We did not wish to provoke, only to protest on behalf of all society,” said police spokesman.
Today’s display of anger by the 9 police officers outside the Greek PM’s mansion came a few hours before a scheduled demonstration by the nation’s police and military forces at the center of Athens.
Indeed, thousands of the nation’s security and armed forces took part in a demonstration today with slogans against the government’s reform plans.
A particularly moving sight was the presence of the Greek coast guard with its members carrying signs that read “We Save Lives, Why Do You Destroy Ours.”
