georgoulis-cancerOn the occasion of the World Cancer Day, the Greek non-profit organization I LIVE FOR ME created a campaign with the hashtag #GiveitCampaign, inviting people to participate in its efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of cancer prevention.
The organization posted photos and videos on social media, asking its followers to quit one bad habit for 24 hours, for example, smoking or to try picking up a healthy habit, for example exercise, good nutrition, preventive health checks, or to help support someone who might be suffering from cancer.
People who support the campaign were prompted to post the following message: “I support #GiveitCampaign for cancer prevention by I LIVE FOR ME.” Furthermore, people can also use the hashtags #Giveit #GiveItUp #GiveItAGo #ILIVEFORME to show their support.
Finally, the organization invited supporters to inform their friends about the actions, so that the campaign will be known to a larger audience.
The campaign video that was released by the organization on the occasion of World Cancer Day, stars Greek actors Tonia Sotiropoulou and Alexis Georgoulis, while Antonis Sotiropoulos directed and edited the soundtrack.
I LIVE FOR ME is a non-profit organization for individuals battling cancer and other chronic diseases. It was first established in 2010 with the goal to help such individuals and their families manage the side effects that can seem to take over their daily lives. The message it wants to send out is that in the difficult times that the patient will have to face, they will need to have the appropriate care and they will also have to prioritize themselves so that they can succeed and recover as healthy and cancer-free individuals.
In the meantime, the organization also seeks to raise awareness about cancer prevention via an array of informative campaigns.
