Greek Students Unable Pay Open University Tuition

anoikto-panepistimio
The number of prospective Greek students who wish to study at the National Open University has sharply reduced as the economic crisis does not allow them to pay the tuition.
The deadline for the applications was two days ago and according to reportsĀ  27,341 people applied for the 6 undergraduate and 26 master programs. Last year, there were about 40,000 applicants, in contrast to the older “golden years” of the Greek economy, when back in 2005-2006, approximately 85,000 people had shown interest in studying in the National Open University.
The largest decrease occurred in the master programs, sinceĀ only 16,902Ā applications were submitted, while last year 25,618 were deposited.
