A delegation of the Aristotle the Stageritan of Halkidiki Association board visited the Greek Centre of Contemporary Culture of the Greek Community of Melbourne to present the community with a check for 10,000 dollars.
The association delegation, consisting of Vice President Andreas Ballis and the General Secretary Persephone Mastrogianni-Gkouletsa were welcomed by Community President Bill Papastergiadis and Secretary General Costas Markos, who thanked both the Board and the members of the Association of Halkidiki for their kind gesture.
Then they toured the premises of the new building and were briefed on the activities of the cultural center and the Community.
“The decision to support the Community was made by our members at the Annual General Meeting which took place in February and the announcement was made on Sunday, March 22, 2015, during the Sardine Festival, which was successfully organized and by our association,” said Ballis. “Our association is an active organization that supports the Community and for this we decided to financially strengthen the Greek Center.”
“With great joy the Aristotle the Stageritan of Halkidiki Association presents a check amounting to 10,000 dollars to the Greek Community of Melbourne,” said Mastrogianni-Gkouletsa. “It was a unanimous decision to make this donation.”
