Elli Avram, the Greek-Swedish actress who has made a dazzling career for herself in Bollywood, was recently invited to be a guest on the biggest talk show in Scandinavia.
Previous guests have included Bill Gates, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Shakira, just to name a few, so Avram found herself among a line of very famous guests.
Host Fredrik Skavlan asked her about her career in India and her Hindi skills, so Avram responded by introducing the host in impeccable Hindi which impressed even the Indian viewers and newspapers that covered the show. Her Hindi presentation starts at around 0:43 on the above Youtube video clip – unfortunately, there are no subtitles.
The invitation came at the heels of her last movie “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon”, which was a massive success in India. The film starred Avram alongside actor Abbas-Mustan.
Avram’s adaptation to her new country accounts for part of her success and likeability in India, as she is one of many foreigners to have made a career in Bollywood, but only one of a few to have immersed herself so completely in Indian culture.
