Greek PM Tsipras in Turkey to Discuss Refugees, Watch Football with Turkish Counterpart

to-tet-a-tet-tsipra--ntaboutoglou-sto-aerodromio.w_hrGreek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu in Istanbul at 8:30 pm on Tuesday to watch the friendly football game between the national teams of Greece and Turkey.
On Wednesday, the two men will meet in Ankara to discuss the refugee crisis and the safety conditions in Europe in light of the Islamic State attacks in Paris. They will also discuss bilateral relations.
Prior to the meeting with Davutoglu in Ankara, Tsipras will meet with Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos (Bartholomew) in Istanbul. Afterwards he will depart for the Turkish capital.
During his stay in Ankara, the Greek prime minister will also meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In addition, he will meet with leaders of Turkish political parties.
