Greece and Turkey Play Out Goalless Draw in Istanbul

mats_ellada_turkieThe men’s Greek National Football Team took on the Turkish National Football Team in a friendly exhibition match in Istanbul on Tuesday night.
Neither of the two teams were able to break the deadlock in a game that did not produce many memorable moments. This was the Greece’s second game under Michael Skibbe, who was appointed the team’s manager in late October.
Among the game’s attendees were Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who is on a two-day state visit to Turkey, and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
A moment of silence was held prior to kick off in honor of the 129 victims of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
