Greek Parliament Approves Omnibus Bill of Prior Actions

parliamentThe Greek Parliament passed with 153 votes of the ruling SYRIZA-ANEL coalition the omnibus bill of the second package of prior actions required by the bailout program.
The vote was conducted by roll-call, as requested by New Democracy. One SYRIZA MP and one ANEL lawmaker were absent from the vote, while another SYRIZA lawmaker voted against the article concerning the Athens Concert Hall (article 53).
New Democracy, the Democratic Coalition (PASOK-DIMAR), to Potami, the Centrists Union and the Greek Communist Party (KKE) voted against the bill, while all Potami lawmakers abstained from the vote.
Lawmakers voted on several articles separately, specifically articles 21, 31, 35, 39, 42, 43, 44, 51, 53.
SYRIZA lawmakers approved all articles, with only Anna Vagena voting against article 53. ANEL voted in favor of all articles except 53 as well. New Democracy voted against all articles with only Sofia Voultepsi voting in favor of article 53. Golden Dawn voted against all articles except for 35 and 39 for which they abstained.
The Democratic Coalition voted against all articles, except 39, 44 and 53 which they approved. To Potami voted against all articles except 31, 39, 44 and 53 for which they were in favor. KKE voted for 39, 43 and 53, abstained from 31, 42, 44 and against the remaining articles. The Centrists Union voted against all articles except 35, 39 and 53 which they approved.
