Greek-Australian chef and restaurateur George Calombaris has organized a week-long event that will bring the most celebrated Greek chefs from Australia and around the world together in Melbourne for a week of culinary creation.
Christoforos Peskias, Stelios Parliaros, David Tsirekas, Jonathan Barthelmess and Anna Polyviou will join forces to serve up a feast of the finest Greek foods. The event, called “Oh my Greek week” will take place from November 23 to 28 at Calombaris’ Press Club and Hellenic Republic restaurants, as well as Langham Hotel’s Melba restaurant.
The event aims to present Greek flavors and cuisine to Melbourne, a culinary capital in the world of contemporary creative Greek cuisine, drawing from the tradition and the products of the Mediterranean and harmonizing classical dishes with modern touches.
The two Greek chefs will collaborate with George Kalompari on Tuesday, November 24, creating a special five-course menu at the Press Club, presenting the modern concept of creative Greek cuisine.
