Huge Influx of Migrants to Greece Unaffected by Bad Weather

A huge inflow of migrants and refugees to Athens continued on Saturday as more than 2,500 people arrived to Greece’s capital from the Greek island of Lesvos.
Despite the extremely bad weather conditions last week – and ignoring the high drowning risk- smuggling boats continue to deliver thousands of migrants, seeking to find better living conditions for them and their families, from neighboring Turkey to Lesvos.
It is estimated that around 2,528 refugees travelled from Lesvos to Piraeus on Saturday alone, currently camping out at the capital’s squares before making their way to Northern Europe.
