Athens was placed among the 45 most popular global cities with the best cost to quality ratio in 2016, according to a list published on the international search engine and hotel price comparison site Trivago.
The Greek capital ranked 17th on the list, reaching a popularity of 78.36%. Belgrade was in first place with a popularity percentage 94.91%. Meanwhile, Trivago also released another list of lesser known destinations, worldwide, where tourists can find the best value in 2016.
The second list of 100 lesser known destinations includes Nafplion, ranked in 63rd place with a popularity percentage of 93.56%. The first place is occupied by Fenghuang County in China.
