Greece ranks first in the list of EU countries with excessive internet use. More specifically, Greece has a 31% rate compared to a European average of 5%, according to the data of the 31 Helpline Insafe Pan-European Network in the second half of 2014.
Another major problem in Greece is the protection of online privacy (16%) compared to an EU average of 12% and cyber bullying with 19% holds the third place compared to 21% in the EU.
According to the statistics of the Greek Awareness Centre Saferinternet, 180 cases of excessive use of internet have been reported, 96 cases of online abuse privacy and 65 cases of cyber-bullying.
