Greek Authorities Arrest Wanted Serbian At Eleftherios Venizelos Airport

greek policeA Serbian citizen, who has been wanted since 2009 for committing a homicide, was arrested at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” Athens International Airport on Saturday.
Greek police note that the 34-year old Serbian, who flew in from Thailand through Doha, Qatar, arrived at the airport on September 9th, dressed as an orthodox monk and presented a fake Slovenian passport.
He had been charged along with others for beating up a group of Frenchmen before a football match between the French Toulouse and Serbian Partisan Belgrade, September 17, 2009. One of the victims of the beating died a few days later. An international arrest warrant was issued by the Serbian authorities against him.
