Greek main opposition New Democracy leader Evangelos Meimarakis called for a meeting of political leaders after the completion of the exploratory process, following a meeting with Popular Unity leader Panagiotis Lafazanis in parliament on Tuesday.
Meimarakis said the meeting is necessary to discuss the possibility of forming a Greek government from the current parliament but also to decide on a caretaker government. If no agreement is reached, the mandate to form a government will be granted to Supreme Court President Vasiliki Thanou.
Popular Unity MPs Dimitris Stratoulis and Kostas Isychos attended the meeting between the two party leaders.
