A British tourist who went missing on Saturday night after attending a party with friends in the Greek island of Zakynthos was found dead by holiday makers on Monday evening.According to local police, the body of the 28-year-old man washed up on the central beach of Laganas.
Witnesses had told police earlier that the British man was attending a beach party on a private island last night when he told his friends he wanted to swim. The party organizers transferred him by boat to the shore but it appears he dived again in the water, after which he disappeared.
Police are currently conducting a preliminary investigation on the cause of death, while the man’s body will be transferred to Patras for an autopsy.
